First Confession and First Holy Communion Preparations

Thanks to all the parents who have enrolled their children to celebrate the sacraments of First Confession and First Communion in the parish of St Gregory and the oratory of St Charles.

The children are now being prepared for the first celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation that communicates the grace of forgiveness.
The celebration of the sacrament will take place in the parish :
Monday 25 March in St Gregory’s Church at 7pm
Tuesday 26 March at 7pm in St Charles’ Oratory.
Sunday 3rd March Chinese Community Children in St Gregory’s Church

Parents Meeting- Tuesday 22 January
There will be a meeting for all parents on Tuesday 22 January in St Gregory’s Hall at 7pm. If at all possible please make other arrangements for your child that night as it is aimed at you as parents and guardians. This meeting is to help you help your child in preparation for the sacrament.

The Circle of Friends
The children will take part in the Circle of Friends on the Sundays leading up to the celebration of
First Confession. That is the 10, 17 and 24 March.
In St Gregory’s these sessions will take place after the 10am Mass and run until 12pm.
In St Charles they will take place at 11am and finish in time for the 12pm Mass.
I expect that every child will take part in all three of these sessions, it is not optional.

CHILDREN FROM OUR PARISH CHINESE COMMUNITY ST GREGORY’S
will celebrate the Sacrament of First Confession on Sunday 3rd March. In preparation for this, there will be a meeting Sunday 3rd Feb in the Barbarigo room,after 10am Mass, with their Circle of Friends on Sundays -10th, 17th & 24th February after Mass.

FIRST COMMUNION
celebration in St Gregory is Sunday 5 May at 10am.
For St Charles it will be 12 May at 12pm.

It is  expected that the children will celebrate First Communion in the same church as they celebrated First Confession.
If any parent wishes to request something different please see Fr Allan as soon as possible
